Himanshu Saxena named ACORE board member 2019

Executives from Lincoln Clean Energy, E.ON North America, Pattern Energy Group and Starwood Energy Group Join Board to Accelerate the U.S. Transition to Renewable Power

Washington, D.C., January 15, 2019 – The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), a national business group made up of companies that finance, develop, manufacture and use all forms of renewable energy, today announced its new Board members for 2019.

ACORE welcomes four new Board members: Declan Flanagan, CEO at Lincoln Clean Energy; Kevin Gresham, Vice President Government Relations and External Affairs at E.ON North America; George Hardie, Vice President and Director of Business Development at Pattern Energy Group and Himanshu Saxena, CEO of Starwood Energy Group.

More background on the new Board members serving three-year terms beginning this month is available below:

Declan Flanagan, CEO at Lincoln Clean Energy, is responsible for the firm’s development and financing of wind and solar power projects representing more than $3 billion in capital investment and over 2 gigawatts of capacity. Lincoln Clean Energy became part of Orsted Group in 2018 with Flanagan becoming a member of the executive committee of Orsted’s newly formed global onshore renewables business unit.
Kevin Gresham, Vice President Government Relations and External Affairs at E.ON North America, directs the company’s interactions with federal and state legislative and regulatory bodies, as well as the company’s communications and public affairs.
George Hardie, Vice President and Director of Business Development at Pattern Energy Group, is the lead developer or originator of many of the company’s largest projects and has also led the acquisition of several of the company’s projects.
Himanshu Saxena, CEO of Starwood Energy Group, supervises the firm’s investment program and strategy, and has led the acquisition and development of numerous power generation and transmission projects in North America, with aggregate enterprise value of more than $10 billion.

In addition, the following current Board members were elected or appointed to new three-year terms: Frank Armijo, Vice President at Lockheed Martin Energy; Mona Dajani, Partner at Baker McKenzie; Skip Grow, Managing Director at Morgan Stanley; Shannon Kellogg, Director of AWS Public Policy-Americas at Amazon; and Susan Nickey, Managing Director at Hannon Armstrong.
